Great reviews on Amazon, so definitely worth $10 to see if my dog will let me use this. Otherwise, I can use this on my kids. Smilie

I don't have this one but I do have one very similar. It's great. There's no going back once you've used a nail grinder. You can still draw blood so you need to go a little at a time. If you try to do too much at once it can heat up. It helps a lot if you can see your dog's quick. Way better than a Dremel. If you do happen to go a bit too far, corn starch plugs the bleeding up very well. My dog was a little stand offish in the beginning even though it's very quiet. After a few times grinding and some treats it's all good now. I paid $28 so this seems like a good deal.

Another owner here, and my biggest issue was it was impossible to tell how much you've taken off. With cutters, you can see how much you're going to take. With the grinders, it's a blind guess. If I had more patience, I'd use cutters to take the majority off that I needed to remove, then use the grinder to soften the edges.

Good point. Until I got used to it I marked some of the nails that I could not see clearly the quick, dark black nails, with a silver Sharpie.

Thanks, in for one. My dog will only let me clip one nail at a time, then runs off.

Only on SlickDeals will someone get downvoted for asking a simple legitimate question that everyone should be asking prior to purchasing anything.
