R-SIM is a SIM card add-on that looks like a really thin SIM card that mounts on top of your nano sim (or below depending on the model) that allows you to bypass the sim lock by hard coding a new ICCID that is unlocked.

You can buy the R-SIMs off ebay/amazon and they are usually $10 give or take.

It works reasonably well and the wiki talks about how to operate it, the only challenge is sometimes iOS updates break it and sometimes you need a new ICCID but for the most part it's great and allows you to use a SIM locked phone with any provider. and in this case you dont have to wait 180 days with Cricket to get an unlock code.

Keep in mind it is unlike the factory unlocking process which is permanent. Here you are dependent always on the R-SIM.

back in the day it also went by the name Gevey SIM.

As long as you have an old Sprint SIM card laying around (they're reusable)... and an IMEI from a phone that's compatible with Sprint's network, you can sign up for the $5 service (data only) or if you want to play it safe... $6 service (500mb data, 100 min). Pay for service, enter in IMEI and SIM card info, activate. You'll have instant access to a new phone number, pin to access port out info.

Yes. You will get different trade in value for Second Phone which goes under trade in for Gift card. Please do it in Store. They need only Phone. You can sell rest of the items.
First one direct trade in which is $210
Second one is for Gift card which is $205

Apple reduces prices on the new phone which includes Tax reduction too.

Anybody know where I can buy cheap port numbers? I've tried boost mobile ones and they dont' seem to work and t-mobile is kind of steep at around $9-10. For tello, you require a sprint sim card and I don't have 5 of them...

I am a current cricket customer with 4 lines on an unlimited plan (4/$100). I wanted to upgrade 2 of the phones on this account. What's the easiest/most cost effective way to do that?
Can I open a new account, buy 2 new SE's, activate them, swap the Sims from the current active phones and then cancel the new account paying just 1 month of service? I know I would forfeit the referral credits but would this work for essentially $190 cost?

Still not sure about the Apple Trade In value. It is done through a third party Phobio and I got both of my confirmations on the trade in done on Apples website that said "UP TO" $205 per phone, But the details clearly say:

Device
Apple iPhone SE (2nd Generation) 256GB

not 64GB. I hope this does not unslicken this deal. I got 2 phones for $189 plus $10 amazon GC to a member on this thread for 2 port in account/phone numbers.
