R-SIM is a SIM card add-on that looks like a really thin SIM card that mounts on top of your nano sim (or below depending on the model) that allows you to bypass the sim lock by hard coding a new ICCID that is unlocked.

You can buy the R-SIMs off ebay/amazon and they are usually $10 give or take.

It works reasonably well and the wiki talks about how to operate it, the only challenge is sometimes iOS updates break it and sometimes you need a new ICCID but for the most part it's great and allows you to use a SIM locked phone with any provider. and in this case you dont have to wait 180 days with Cricket to get an unlock code.

Keep in mind it is unlike the factory unlocking process which is permanent. Here you are dependent always on the R-SIM.

back in the day it also went by the name Gevey SIM.

As long as you have an old Sprint SIM card laying around (they're reusable)... and an IMEI from a phone that's compatible with Sprint's network, you can sign up for the $5 service (data only) or if you want to play it safe... $6 service (500mb data, 100 min). Pay for service, enter in IMEI and SIM card info, activate. You'll have instant access to a new phone number, pin to access port out info.

Before reading wiki completely I ordered the port number from ebay (sdcomputers4less). He is refusing refund so I went ahead and submitted the info to Cricket and placed the order. If it's a failure when would I know? Is it immediate or will it take time? Any way I can check the port status?

Are all three SIMs in one Tracfone kit? or the color of the kit is how you can tell which network you get purchasing Tracfone on? Never bought Tracfone before.

Looking to cancel my order of 2 iPhones which I made yesterday. The order is shipped so the online chat support wasn't able to cancel. Suggested I dispute after I get the order through IVR. Never done that.

Did anyone cancel the order after receiving it ? Any charges for cancelling the order after receiving it ? Not sure how to return the contents either.

Don't worry, the numbers from sdcomputers4less works fine. They worked for me and so did for many others. Watch out for the emails, they will tell you if they need more information. If you ordered 2 phones, they will email and ask you for the port-in details separately for the 2nd one. Email is self-explanatory. 2 emails, one for the account# and another for the pin#.

If you want, you can visit this link [cricketwireless.com] and give in the port-in details manually for the 2nd phone line. I suggest waiting for the emails. If there is anything wrong, they will contact you. They could take an hour or two depending on the traffic, so be patient.
