R-SIM is a SIM card add-on that looks like a really thin SIM card that mounts on top of your nano sim (or below depending on the model) that allows you to bypass the sim lock by hard coding a new ICCID that is unlocked.

You can buy the R-SIMs off ebay/amazon and they are usually $10 give or take.

It works reasonably well and the wiki talks about how to operate it, the only challenge is sometimes iOS updates break it and sometimes you need a new ICCID but for the most part it's great and allows you to use a SIM locked phone with any provider. and in this case you dont have to wait 180 days with Cricket to get an unlock code.

Keep in mind it is unlike the factory unlocking process which is permanent. Here you are dependent always on the R-SIM.

back in the day it also went by the name Gevey SIM.

As long as you have an old Sprint SIM card laying around (they're reusable)... and an IMEI from a phone that's compatible with Sprint's network, you can sign up for the $5 service (data only) or if you want to play it safe... $6 service (500mb data, 100 min). Pay for service, enter in IMEI and SIM card info, activate. You'll have instant access to a new phone number, pin to access port out info.

what's the question?
what carrier are you with now? If it's not att or cricket or any mvno that is att affiliated, you are good to go. No need to buy a boost number.
i have att prepaid, so it charges me $249 for the phone in the cart when I enter the number.

so, if I go with a boost number for the deal, can I then switch to my old cell number once I establish the account and use the cricket service?

I'm not sure how that will work.
In my opinion, it probably won't work.
You have to see if it's even worth it to try that.
How much are you paying for att prepaid right now vs how much you would pay with cricket

$44/month.

Cricket would be ~$35 for more data. I'd prefer to switch, anyway. I just also want to get the cheap new SE phone since my old SE is almost dead.

Use Privacy for credit card and a different address and it should work
Which website did you used?

I am trying Privacy dot com , but it asking for bank account or debit card.
There is no option for credit card.

Privacy creates a virtual credit card and links it to your bank account. And you can create multiple credit cards using that

Should be a net profit of ~ $520-550

Pretty decent haul

Phobio boxes dropped at FedEx today - net profit of $103 per device.

Cables, charger, earphones listed on Craigs / FB market getting me an average of $30-40 per box.

This looks like a good deal as a potential iPod Touch replacement.
What's the minimum that needs to be done just to get iPhone SE even if locked? Do I need to follow all the steps (porting in phone number? cancel service immediately? activation required)?

I've used locked iPhones from prepaid phone carriers in the past as iPod Touch replacements, so I know it is possible.

Thanks in advance.

Can I order the phone first then ask for a referral code (for the same email address)?
Thank you!

I just ported my number to Xfinity. How long should i wait before porting to cricket? Does it matter if only 1 or two days in Xfinity? Xfinity iphone SE deal is dead. I might lose $15 in xfinity but thats fine

Hello, as an update this time I used different address and the Pay Pal key to generate a credit card number and got cancelled again, my record 7 cancellations 😱, now thinking the 2 boost numbers I got from eBay are burned to use online, maybe I will try to go to cricket store(but do not want to take the risk)or get new numbers online but now I am scared to purchase and get the same result and throw another 16 dollars or maybe any good soul who may share a number with me 🤔

Not bad, much less hassle than selling the phone locked on FB / OfferUp. First two iPhone SE I sold for $300 and $275, but my purchase price was $120 each (before we knew about $20 coupon...)
What $20 coupon?

I have a question about phone unlock policy.

Can I use multiple phone numbers on one iPhone for a total of 6 months and request a unlock?

Or the unlock is tied to a number and not iPhone? For instance If I have a phone number with 6 months , I can use it to unlock multiple iPhones?
You might be on to something - I had a 7 left over from a previous deal that maintained the days of service from before and when I put in a sim from this set I saw if started counting down from there instead of resetting to 180.

My theory is you could take a sim and circle it through a few phones and they should all cycle down from 180 days.
