R-SIM is a SIM card add-on that looks like a really thin SIM card that mounts on top of your nano sim (or below depending on the model) that allows you to bypass the sim lock by hard coding a new ICCID that is unlocked.

You can buy the R-SIMs off ebay/amazon and they are usually $10 give or take.

It works reasonably well and the wiki talks about how to operate it, the only challenge is sometimes iOS updates break it and sometimes you need a new ICCID but for the most part it's great and allows you to use a SIM locked phone with any provider. and in this case you dont have to wait 180 days with Cricket to get an unlock code.

Keep in mind it is unlike the factory unlocking process which is permanent. Here you are dependent always on the R-SIM.

back in the day it also went by the name Gevey SIM.

As long as you have an old Sprint SIM card laying around (they're reusable)... and an IMEI from a phone that's compatible with Sprint's network, you can sign up for the $5 service (data only) or if you want to play it safe... $6 service (500mb data, 100 min). Pay for service, enter in IMEI and SIM card info, activate. You'll have instant access to a new phone number, pin to access port out info.

All to the same address but changed the buyer to my wife and address to the town name instead of the city name.

I tried to get more than 2 orders, but couldn't get anything else to work, shortening or expanding suffixes like Rd, St. abbreviating names to initials, even trying Apple Pay.

Put in phobio request Monday evening got the boxes this afternoon
Great! Hopefully my trade-in boxes will arrive soon.

I also place 4 separate orders using the same address. For the first two orders, I used the normal address. For the second two, I simply put the apt number in the first line and the street address in the second line, and the orders went through. I have received three of them, and the last one just got shipped this afternoon.

I bought 6 from him, no issues
I bought 6 as well, 2 were not valid. He re-sent me 1 new # yesterday. 2nd invalid # was today at 11:00ET, it failed and I emailed seller right away asking for another..no response yet.
Today I did 2 separate orders, so it wasn't a case of the 2nd being hung up waiting for account # and pin. First # today appears to have worked as I confirmed successful port via chat. Not shipped yet.

Yeah. You won't be able to add the referral code until you have the phone in hand to create account/activate.

But just get referral from eBay description just to be safe.

It'll generate a new CC number and doesn't tie to any address/zip code.
I tried that Privacy generate a new cc, but still got declined when I ship to a different address. Is it because of different first and last name?

I really wanted the seller (sdcomputers4less) to work too. However when I entered two port numbers I was given, this message appeared "Thanks for all the love, but that's already a Cricket number! Please enter a different phone number or go back and choose Get a New Number." I contacted Cricket support, they said that "there are already 2 port request from your numbers". I have already contacted this seller with this information, but no response anymore. If they respond and make changes accordingly, then I'll let y'all know. Right now, I just feel I was deceived. I know there was already a disclaimer on this eBay seller, but I took the chance anyway. I got screwed over. I'm glad it worked out for others, but that wasn't my experience.

If anyone has any reputable sellers or advice, then please let me know! I would really appreciate it!!!

How long does it take for the seller to respond? I've sent several follow-up messages but I haven't heard from this seller when I reported new details of my finding. I would love if the seller would send me a new number.

This is correct. Also any of us existing Cricket customers can provide it.

Trying to activate and facing please confirm your order number and phone number are entered correctly. Any thoughts pls
On the cricket website activating you new phone not account? If so just enter the account number from your order has been shipped email and phone number no characters.

So (123) 456-7890 becomes 1234567890
Worked for me.

My understanding is he does this stuff after work hours so that might be why the long wait. That or he has a life and doesn't stay glued to computer for a 7 dollar sale.

I bought 3 numbers from him and all worked. Am thinking of going for number 4 now.
