R-SIM is a SIM card add-on that looks like a really thin SIM card that mounts on top of your nano sim (or below depending on the model) that allows you to bypass the sim lock by hard coding a new ICCID that is unlocked.

You can buy the R-SIMs off ebay/amazon and they are usually $10 give or take.

It works reasonably well and the wiki talks about how to operate it, the only challenge is sometimes iOS updates break it and sometimes you need a new ICCID but for the most part it's great and allows you to use a SIM locked phone with any provider. and in this case you dont have to wait 180 days with Cricket to get an unlock code.

Keep in mind it is unlike the factory unlocking process which is permanent. Here you are dependent always on the R-SIM.

back in the day it also went by the name Gevey SIM.

As long as you have an old Sprint SIM card laying around (they're reusable)... and an IMEI from a phone that's compatible with Sprint's network, you can sign up for the $5 service (data only) or if you want to play it safe... $6 service (500mb data, 100 min). Pay for service, enter in IMEI and SIM card info, activate. You'll have instant access to a new phone number, pin to access port out info.

how many trade ins can you do to buy 1 new iphone?
It is probably different at every store but I called my local one & they said I could trade one toward a new iphone & trade the others toward gift cards.

you did 4 separate orders meaning, all different accounts? cuz deal is maximized if you get maximum/ multiple phones.
4orders/4accouts = 1order/1account.

the $60 plan is the unlimited + 15gb hotspot, when you add a 2nd line it is $45 per line, 3 lines is $37 per line, 4 is $33 per line, plus the cost of each phone and taxes and fees etc...

if you order the second line it will be automatically discounted accordingly and so on.....

Well, it is actually very interesting: even though I put the address into two lines like

Apt 1
100 Main St

or

100 Main St
Apt 1

in order to bypass the "two per household" limitation, the shipping labels of the three packages that I received all show the address as:

100 Main St Apt 1

It seems Cricket always (at least to my case) use the (USPS) standardized address for shipment, and thus the address on the shipping label is not necessarily identical to the address that one entered when placing the order.

In fact, for one of the orders, I even replaced "Apt" with "Room" when placing the order, but on the shipping label it still shows up as "100 Main St Apt 1" instead "... Room 1".
Thanks was able to order -- lets see if it actually ships and delivers

Chase/Citi was being rejected with flipped apt/street -- Amex worked fine

I had the BoA&Chase $25 offers applied to two orders, and the $20-off coupon applied to each of the other two orders.

Another reason why I did them separately is that I did self-referral for each order to get R*ku10's $40 bonus (4*$80). The bonuses were post to the accounts at first, but 3 out of 4 of them were revoked two days later LMAO

but the bonuses usually will be paid if you stayed for 2 to 3 months right? i had fun with RK10 and TCB during the sprint $300 gc deal a few months back.

my RK just says $5 cash back.

Actually, the bonus for new users is paid out very quickly, in just a couple of days. I've already got (the only successful) one credited to my paypal account.

So with 2 lines in one order, even if you downgrade the plan after receiving the devices from Unlimited to 2gb/mo, $90 would only last 1 month for two lines? Guess it's still worth it if you don't plan on doing self-referral on main line.
