I have the S10s on my desk for computer speakers and I'm happy with them, but they have the limits of a 4" woofer. If you can spare the space, the S15 with a 5.25" woofer should make a nice desktop set or work for a small room. They're really nice speakers at this price.
For home theater applications, I think you'd still need a subwoofer with these or the towers as your fronts. They're also not the most exciting sounding for home theater.

What do you use to connect the S10s to your computer?

I have the S55's and S35, both are excellent. I don't have a sub right now but plan on getting one.
The 55's dig deep enough to run without a sub, but I'd advise to get one for most occasions. They were WAY too powerful for a small apartment, but not enough to run without a sub in my 3000sqf living room (well according to me and not my wife ha.)
They're great for movies and music. I like them move for movies than music, but they excel at both IMO.
I had the T50's before and while they were good, the S55's are much clearer.
As for the S35, I love it as well. Just remember you'll need a wide space for it.
I had the s60, s35 and s15. Great sound, music and movies for the price. If you run them just off the avr they got plenty of power and feels like they can do much better and they're able so an amp is a good addition. As soon as you hook them up to an amp they really open up but at high to max volume they become overpowered easily. If you can, get Lsim series, completely different ball game. Oh yeah, sub is needed for the s55/s60 - night and day difference.

I had Carver 5.1 speaker set before which was great, and these are better, in a much more refined and manageable sizes.
I have S20 front , S35 Center , S10 rear . They can almost do without the sub and are full range. Sub is a good plus, of course.
You can't go wrong with these, and at these prices.
Currently have a Boston Acoustic center channel with 2x 5 1/4 inch drivers.
Is having 6x 3 inch drivers going to sound better or make any noticeable difference?
I haven't pushed them, but they're fantastic desktop speakers for the price. They look more expensive than they are!
