Well was looking at the Samsung 82" RU9000. As this had local Dimming and there was a open box near me. So it was $1869. I could not pass that up! Lets see how this will be later tonight when I install it....

I've bought a number of open box items from BB and have always been satisfied. My most expensive open box purchase was a MacBook Pro and it was worth it

Open box TV's are most likely from people who were unhappy with how the panel lottery turned out so they returned the TV for another.

So expect the TV to potentially have uniformity issues and/or backlight bleed. Functionally the TV should work just fine.

This is such an insanely good deal for this quality of a TV. I am envious of all of you that get this. I got the 75" 950G last year for this price and I thought that was a steal.

This TV is better than the Samsung RU9000, but Samsung's Q80T and Q90T are both better TVs than the X900H. Of course, those TVs will also cost quite a bit more. I think the Sony X900H is the best value I've seen this year from a top tier brand.
