I purchased 2 of these in July and have had them in a dry basement. Most of the shelves have noticeable warping.

I love these! I have 6 and now I will have 7. Been using this brand and size for over 6 yrs now and 100% happy! So is my extreme couponing wife. They sure are strong, one whole unit holds nothing but 12 packs of pop and is rock solid.

The description is wrong in that it does not include connectors to join the top half to the bottom half. I bought two of them from Walmart two weeks ago and neither one had the connectors. You have to use a set of shelf brackets to join the two sections together, which limits where you can place the shelves. Several reviewers said that the contacted the company and they reluctantly sent the connectors, but it took several weeks to get in the mail.

Yep don't put too much weight on it.

Does anyone ever see these go on sale with good shelves? I bought a unit 10 years ago from Sam's that came with heavy duty plastic shelves. They have worked perfectly even under moderately heavy loads. I've watched all of the deals for a while and they all seem to come with particle board. I'd pay more for something that will work without repair. I wish I knew what brand I purchased.

Can I put the yellow bins from Costco on here? How many can I stack?

The 3 sets i ordered were missing the post connectors but they did send them out. Shelves are okay but I probably won't not buy them again due to the particle board and concerns about it holding up or warping

The simplest thing to do, is stop by Lowes/Home Depot (etc), and buy a sheet of 3/8" plywood. Then have them cut it, into 4 pieces, each ~24" x 48". When you put the shelving unit together, put the plywood under the particle board, for each of the bottom 4 shelves. That fixed the problem, for us.

We had these at the last job I worked at, and even with us spreading the weight over the entire shelf, there was noticeable warping of the particle board. Which is sad, because it really wouldn't cost much more, to simply supply these shelves with a quality piece of plywood, for the shelves, instead of the poor substitute they offer.

Nice idea but all the Lowes in my area are not doing anymore instore cutting due to Covid. I tried to have some boards cut down about a month ago and all the saws were shut down and every employee I talked to said no.

This is ridiculous. More reasons for them to provide less service by hiding behind the COVID excuse.

They also typically stock pre-cut 24x48 sheets, they're probably not as cost effective but are plug and play at least.
I used a few where I had heavier loads. Like the shelves I store my pandemic beer hoard on- can't have that falling through!

Does anyone know of any 5-tier racks like this that have tray shelving or shelving that can be flipped upside down to form tray shelves?

I have been looking for something like that for awhile and can't seem to find anything.

Damn, just bought two at HD for 89.99 each
I bought a red one (with metal mesh shelves) for about $85 from Home Depot a few months ago. I am quiet happy with mine overall. Each shelf is rated at 500lbs; however I was little worry when I placed 6 car rotors (200-250lbs?) on one shelf. The shelf sagged with the weight of the 6 rotors and other car parts; I removed the rotors. It is great for plastic bins and not so heavy items.
