Good deal. However, for now I will take the Dell Inspiron 15 5505 model with Ryzen 5 4500U, available at $488. Both have similar spec and build quality, display (Lenovo is a bit brighter) but Dell has a huge advantage of having 2 user upgradable memory slot and you can go up to 64GB, max Ram supported by Ryzen 4000 series.

Agree, but this is a good option for desktop users who never open the back and don't want to wait for the Dell. It's also $30 less than the i7 version at OD [officedepot.com]. (lacking FP reader, 250 nits, older gen wireless, slower RAM, smaller battery)

Probably referring to shipping times that are more than a month out on the Dell. I got one and expect it to ship sooner than it estimates, but it still won't be fast. I ordered mine a week ago, still hasn't shipped, still has delivery estimate of Dec. 23. Off-putting as hell to a lot of people who will buy elsewhere.

While I did get a 10% code shortly after sending request, some people claim to never get it. Not sure which side is to blame for that, but the 10% code is apparently not a certainty for some people.

Nope. That's the primary negative for this compared to the Dell. Nearly all specs between the models are identical, but ram is locked @8GB here. That's not a problem for me, but many people will see that as a deal-breaker.

This is available either in-stock or 3 bus day delivery, and screen is somewhat brighter; Dell will be cheaper if 10% coupon is applicable, allow ram upgrade, but delivery will be weeks out.

Uh oh... might be a regional thing, or they're selling out and reverting to local stock only. It was local pickup only for me last week, but out of stock everywhere. They apparently changed to delivery available when they received new stock. Mine was just purchased and had a build date of 10-16-20.

Just checked now and out of stock everywhere locally, again. Apparently sold quickly.
