Ring is selling their Peephole Cam/Doorbell with a free spare Quick Release Battery for $69.99 directly on their website.

Given that the Ring Peephole Cam is normally $129.99 and the battery is $29.99 I find this deal to be pretty slick. It also says it's free expedited shipping (1-3 days) after order ships, but all I got was as an option was free standard shipping (3-5 days) after order ships. Order ships within 24-48 hours.
This deal matches the previous Frontpage deal from Prime Day, except instead of a free 3rd gen Echo Dot you get the free spare Quick Release Battery https://slickdeals.net/f/14412791-prime-members-ring-peephole-cam-echo-dot-3rd-gen-charcoal-70-free-shipping

My existing doorbell is on the wall adjacent to the door so the video doorbell would not look toward the street so this solution makes perfect sense.
And, if you rent or are in a hallway dorm environment it can be installed and then removed when you leave.

Already called CS and at first they said the Peephole comes only with one battery. I said it was an advertised Holiday special on the Ring site. They left for a while and came back and said they were escalating my request and someone will call tomorrow....hopefully they will send one as advertised. The batteries are $29.99 so worth getting on this special.
Most reviews say the battery life is quite good so one could get by with just one, but I like the idea of a charged spare ready to go.
