i spent about 2 hours in best buy and looked at all the options. it seems like there are a group of tiers. My wife wants a 500ish limit because the kids will probably break it(65inch). They broke the last one. i settled on this one or tcl 5 series, the 750 sony looks the same to me also. The next higher tier is the tcl series 6 and h9g and they are beautiful, which seem to be as good as the sony 950 and the samsung q90t. It might not be bad to get the sony 750 just due to that extended warranty, 5 years plus.

with kids, why not go super cheap and go with like a 65 inch TCL that's on target for $230?

Just a reminder... to get the 5 yr mfg warranty+ on the Sony, it is the X75CH warehouse version from Sam's and Costco. The X750 only comes with a 1 yr mfg warranty.

I did the same thing today between the same two tvs... Tcl 5 and this one. Best buy guy really pushed me to get the vizio and said the tcl display models go out before the year is up. I still went with the tcl because of the native 1440. But now I'm thinking if I get a new xbox the vizio is the way to go. I'm still torn even after bringing the tcl home.

The Vizio and the tcl both gonna be 60hz native. Not sure why the Xbox has anything to do with it?
My 2 yr old just cracked my tcl 6 series screen and I've had it for a little over 2 yrs and I loved it. I wouldn't hesitate a second to buy it again.
But it's really hard not to pull the trigger on the Sony x900h deal coming up for the hdmi 2.1 and the 120 Hz native. I'm debating pretty hard.

Xbox using freesync. M7 has freesync. M7 is forced 1440. Tcl 5 is native 1440. Those were the main differences for me.
