Personally thought this was a good deal based on CCC's lowest price in the last couple of years for each tool individually (comes out to ~$500 USD; didn't factor in the hand light and batteries into the 500).
Pretty good deal for someone jus starting a tool collection. Theres another bundle that is the same but has the 20v dcg413 brushless grinder instead of the multi tool but thats probably not on sale but retails for same price i believe. One time a couple years ago it was a 7 tool that was all this and the grinder for 600 but i havent seen it since then for that price

edit: looks like theres 2 other promos you could get 2 more batteries but clearly not worth the price increase. dont know if the 50 off stacks but still not worth it

Are the tools same, or comparable, in both kits?
the Home Depot kit has a better/ more powerful hammer drill than the Lowe's kit, Lowe's kit has a year newer model of the oscillating tool. Same power just an added feature that lets you select from three speeds rather than adjusting strength on the trigger for speed. Home Depot kit also has 2 5ah batteries vs the Lowe's kit with 2 4ah batteries; so really it's a matter of better drill and batteries vs sander and newer model oscillating tool.

The drill in the Home Depot kit is not a 20V XR. The Lowe's one is.
Actually picture looks non XR, but the specs show XR. Now I'm not sure.

As a home owner, I would get the Lowes deal. I personally don't care for the hammer drill in either kit. I would rather have the more compact and lighter standard XR drill.

they're both the XR line. Lowe's is the 776 model and Home Depot is the 996. The difference is size and power. The 776 is about an inch in length smaller and half the power of the 996 (460 UWO max power at 6.9" length vs 820 UWO max power at 7.9"). All a matter of preference. If you don't think you'll need to drill into concrete/masonry then the compactness may be worth it.

I went with the Lowe's bundle a few weeks ago and wanted to comment on the drill. I only occasionally drill into masonry, and on those rare times I've needed to the 776 got the job done, but it got it done slowly. My coworker's Dewalt 996 (the same as the one included with this bundle) blows my 776 out of the water.
Personally, if I were to do it all again, I would go with this bundle instead of the Lowe's bundle, even at $50 more. I like the additional power of the 996 and the additional capacity of the batteries included with this kit.
