No definitely not. In fact even the 6 core 5600X beats 3700X So I would say 5600X is a better buy at $300 unless 3700X comes down to $250 which it will. It used to go for $264 with 3 pen drive on walmart couple of months ago.
Crazy that people see this as a good deal when it was this price in 2019 BF period...should be like $229 by now with a 4700x coming out.. AMD is months behind on the release front... perhaps 6 months due to corona virus.. this might be a good time to hold off on building a PC with processor and Mobo parts.
Wait for 5600x if all you are doing is gaming

Mine says I can pick it up right now (10:30pm), which is probably BS.

Probably not. YMMV but gaming usually doesn't matter.

Damn i cant believe i missed those 3 usb flash drives!! But yeah the price is disappointing for BF. I was hoping $260 or less. If one needs it.. but maybe next year for me. Not buying for sake of buyers remorse.

Stay away from 5800X unless you just want to pad AMD's wallet.
Care to explain any further?
