That's a setting called motion smoothing that you can turn off
I have the Roku version of this TV and you can definitely cast to it from Android without a dongle.
God damn it tcl, we want ROKU.

I've been leaning towards Android TVs simple to be able to cast to them without a dongle.

I recently got this tv for $199 and returned it. The picture quality is good for the price, but there were some motion issues and stuttering that I didnt like. The ps5 worked fine with it and looked good though I'm sure the mid to higher end tvs look better.

I'm probably going to stick with a 4k monitor for my ps5, but may think about a mid to higher end tv later.

I have this exact model but the Roku version. The panel died after 2 years, The image jumps up an inch every couple seconds. I disassembled it and reattached every ribbon cable and checked every capacitor and resistor that was easy to check. I smacked the panel in hopes it was just a stuck or shorted sub pixel. Nothing can fix it.

But $169 every 2 years isn't too bad. It works great as a monitor, as long as you have a mount that lets you put it all the way out to the far end of the desk. It's just about optimal in terms of pixel density at that distance. And it just feels way better than dual monitors.

Xfinity app is supported on Roku but not Android TV. May be possible to side load but Roku just works.

I just had a look on the 65" tcl tv I got in the target offer and I can confirm it isn't in the play store. I had a look on the xfinity site and it says android version needs to be 5 or more. Guess its something you may want to consider if your buying one of these TVs.

pay 60 more and get 65 inch
I'd pay 60 more for a 40 or 37 inch

It's all about how far away you're sitting, since they're all 4k.

I'm going to get both, one for my desk and one for my couch.

Also the 43 ships free Whereas the 65 is in-store pickup only

You do know is $169 right? What do you expect? 🤦
I got this deal and returning it as well. I expected more even for $169. Picture looks washed out and color spectrum and depth is lacking, even at the price range.
