The lids on these always die after a few years. I've had sets, family has had sets, and coworkers have had sets. Plastic gets brittle, and breaks when you'll pulling it off the glass container.

FYI. These are not for baking. We accidentally used one in the oven and it exploded. After that I've only gotten ones that be used for baking too.

What do you do to make the lids brittle? I've had these for years and they don't show any signs of cracking. Dishwasher use, tho never frozen.

Great containers until the lids tear and leak. Not too bad if you go into it knowing you are ultimately ending up with bowls, not containers.
