The DCBL720 blower is brushless however it is the older model with the DCBL722 available now.
People give the DCBl720 a bad rap but I thought it was fine for clearing out the driveway, patio, walkways, etc...
I paid $115 for the DCBL720 with 5ah battery and charger in April 2020 as part of Acme Tools Spring Black Friday. The DCST925 Trimmer I picked up as a bare tool on clearance at Home Depot this summer as a gift for my dad. Ended up giving him the blower too so I could have an excuse to upgrade to get and try the DCBL722.
I think this is still a good deal if you are just starting to enter the battery powered lawn segment and you want to use Dewalt as your battery source. Its not the latest and greatest gear but still a decent kit, the battery here makes it worth it for sure.

I have all dewalt tools and several batteries, but the reviews on how long these lawn tools last on a battery seemed to be super mixed. The largest batteries I have are two 9ah, a 6ah and a 5ah.
I've been considering Ego, because I've been hearing nothing but good things in terms of power and battery life on a single battery. But obviously that's way more along the lines of dewalts 60v line. Which I'd have to buy flex volt batteries anyways because I have none.
Are these 20v worth it if you have a "larger" lot?

I have the DCBL722 and I can blow down the ~100ft driveway, ~50ft front walk way and landing, and my small deck on a single 6ah. This is just cleaning dust, debris, cut grass, etc. I don't really use it to do leaves, just small spot areas on the lawn.
My dad is on a 1/4ace and I gave him the exact tools that are for sale in this kit and he hasn't complained. I don't know his battery usage but I know he has 2x5ah and 1x2ah at his disposal.
I think this trimmer would be fine for you 1/4 acre. Not sure I would 100% rely on any battery powered blower if you have to handle leaves and such.

Now, if you are trying to mow a 1/4 acre of grass with this trimmer, you will test the warranty.
No pun intended ...
