Agreed. The "click clack" of a mechanical board just begs for your colleagues to hate you. Not only that, but the extra key feedback really isn't needed for office work.
I'd even say "if you like your job" as I'd assume most workplaces don't tolerate infuriating coworkers. Hell, I'm working from home and feel like my neighbor can hear the outemu blues clacking away. Now if you're the boss, however, pretty LBJ type move to flex/abuse your underlings.
I brought another brand with blue switches for $24 several days ago. This one seems to be the same but with different branding.
I've loaned my kids mechanical keyboards and they all wants their own now. These are priced well and hope they don't noticed the differences.
For sound, the blue switches are clicky, making high pitch sound but not too loud. I have other expensive mechanical keyboard with black switches which is much louder. The blue switches work well and make contact when you half press and hear a click. The black keys are full stoke and expect you really press hard (gaming). The brown switch is the new thing and I have yet to try.
You can always go with highly recommended Krapthing....my fav
