I've tried asking my grocer to grind the squirrels i catch in the yard but they refuse to do it.
Not all stores will custom grind for you.

Yes stores grind their beef of various fat content, and most people are satisfied with this. With the grinder attachment, I custom grind better cuts of beef for a far superior tasting burger. I have even experimented with chicken and turkey, grinding the better parts for very tasty chx or turkey patty. Call me a patty snob.

People who are into custom sausage, a home grinder is a must.

Pork is the one cut of meat I don't grind. But, when the initial lock down in March happened, I had to grind my own pork, as store ground pork could not be found.

You can not appreciate what a meat grinder can do for you, and that's fine. You just might be able to appreciate this coffee analogy, unless you are content with instant coffee. Coffee made from fresh ground beans is superior to instant coffee (ie Folgers).

which of these are worth the money?

Also, cross referencing the deal for the machine itself in the link below:

I can't speak to personal use for many of these but I've read most of the plastic attachment get much worse reviews than their metal counterparts. However I can speak to the metal food grinder which I purchased last year - $59.62 after tax was FP so $59.99 is probably worth biting at if you know you'll use it a decent amount. It's performed well and I've had 0 issues with it so far.

But personally I'm waiting/hoping for the BB Pasta Cutter + Fresh Prep bundle to drop to $99 again soon.

I have a lot of attachments. The best ones are the metal meat grinder, and the pasta maker one. I don't have the pasta press, but I do want it.

The all metal grain mill is a good price at $82.49, I haven't seen it lower than this for a long time.

I have all of these except the metal grinder. The cheese grater works well, but I've found that it's really only useful if you need a lot of freshly shredded cheese all at once for a recipe. Saving the extra shredded cheese isn't a good idea as it will clump together.

I primarily got the spiralizer for spiral fries but they come out too thin for my liking and therefore don't fry very well.. There's also a good chunk of potato that is wasted after spiralizing.

I haven't had the problems that most others have with the plastic meat grinder, but if the metal grinder existed when I bought, I would have gone with that. Make sure you're grinding a leaner type of meat as the fat can clog it. Freshly ground steak burgers taste awesome. But like with all the attachments, it comes down to convenience. Sometimes taking the attachments out, prepping the food then cleaning just isn't worth the hassle.

That said, these are pretty decent prices so if you really had a need for anything, I'd go for it. .

Anyone else having trouble applying the RGSTR25 discount on the site? I tried it for the metal food grinder and it said the promo wasn't valid.

Also has anyone got any experience with third party metal food grinders on Amazon? Brands like KENOME and BQYPOWER have good ratings and lots of reviews on there

Thanks for the heads-up! Thinking about getting one. I have the plastic meat grinder already and it's OK but we don't grind much meat to begin with. Coupled with the fact that the mixer is 'in storage' in my in-laws' garage, I don't foresee us making use of anything for a long time (at least until we settle on in a more permanent location). I can see myself using the grain mill though since I started getting into baking more (esp sourdough) and foresee myself doing it in a large enough kitchen later down the road. The dilemma is buying now and letting it sit vs waiting to buy when I actually can use it and hoping there's another deal in that timeframe... Stick Out Tongue

I have boxes of these damn attachments sitting around and I don't even have a mixer yet. I've been waiting for a deal on a pro line for years but they're not around, esp on the white one my wife wants. I think I'm going to go with the 6 qt pro model and upgrade to the 7qt if a deal every comes along
