Not sure why people are downvoting. Coupons only work when the item is in your cart and not buy now. This is common amongst all clippable coupons. But hey, if you want to pay full price, go ahead.

These sound nasty, but kids will probably love them.
I used the coupon on my first S&S and did another order with just S&S.
First was $1.91
Second was $2.71
You also likely have a long time to cancel the order as S&S is usually for the following month. So if you see something you don't like, just cancel it and it won't ship.
Amazon also emails you a few days before the cut off day for that month to let you know that, for example as of December 8 you can no longer make changes to your December 16 delivery.
