An incredible allegory regarding music and an interesting metaphor for racial relations. Unexpectedly rich and deep, but ended on a resoundingly flat note. Which may have been on purpose?

Only FYI this is a complimentary streaming movie on Hulu. Of course titles change and not saying Hulu worth it or any of that debate but just letting people know.

I see you are living up to your name...

Honestly, it is not that heavy. It is not trying to preach a specific message about race other than how we as people think we are different than others but really are the same in our uniqueness and different cultures.

My daughter loves this and the first movie, which is why I won't be buying this, lol. Good price for the 4k steel book though.

It's not overtly about it, but it is hard to miss as an adult (In fact when me and some friends watched it for the first time, one of them said "Oh those trolls are the black people!") It's a fine movie even if you choose to ignore those themes, but those themes are what take the movie from being just another children's movie to being something somewhat intellectual.
