Everyone's rebate is getting denied. The reason shows as "Ineligible Activation Source". I am suspecting it's because we added the line at Costco.

I did call in and initially they said it was probably because I submitted the rebate before the port was complete - I told them that my phone was working, so activation was complete. Then they said they would try to manually update it but that failed because they got a message "Promo is on hold" whatever that means. All in all, looks like we are not getting this rebate Mad
"Promo is on hold" probably means you rebate is submitted and get denied so it cannot be updated. Anyone think if it will work to submit the rebate again? I submitted on the 25th too and got denied. The Costco rebate showing "pending" and the card will be mailed out by the end of 14th week.

Edit: Call Tmobile and confirm that the reason for denial is because the line submitted number is not matching the new line. Maybe like someone said the system didn't finish the port in process at the time I submitted the rebate. They just have me resubmit and say it will be approved this time.

So I finally ported a tracfone (AT&T version) today over the free line I added at Costco on 11-25. What is the collective wizdom on the following: submit AT&T with original number or ported number? Wait a couple days and submit T-mobile rebate to ensure ported number reflects in Costco and T-mobile systems? If so, how many days? Technically for the Costco rebate, I could wait until X-mas eve. Thanks in advance for your thoughts!

Same here with rebate denied as "ineligible activation source". Chatting with T-Force on FB to figure out what happened. Phone CS asked me to resubmit which I did. Unsure if submitting rebate on the same day as activation (though port completed, and line worked in T-Mo) was the reason or if Costco is not a valid partner for activation.

Both T-Mo phone CS and FB T-Force claim that the rebate was tied to my primary number and not the ported number. I had used my primary number ONLY to get the confirmation of the rebate submission. I am unsure if that is not possible either.

I also got denied with the reason listed on the promo page as "ineligible previous carrier." I used Mobile Boost. Upon talking to Twitter...

They said Mobile Boost does not qualify as "it's a MVNO of Sprint, and Sprint and Tmobile now make up the New Tmobile, this would be the root cause of not qualifying for the offer."

I asked them, "so what now?"

They then apologized and said "we know this is a surprise to you. As a loyal customer for over 13 years, we'd like to do what we can to help. We are more than happy to apply the $300 credit offered previously as a bill credit. Would you like us to do so?"

I'm confused... but took the $300 credit lol.

Port in also denied. Asked CSR what should I do and CSR said can apply $50 bill credit. Then I asked if can reconsider and apply $100. Different CSR applied a $100 bill credit to account.

I ported to T-Mobile network using Google pixel 3A device. Now I'm planning to change device to iPhone 12 with same line(SIM), will it create any problem in receiving costco card or should I keep the same device with same line for 12 to 14weeks ? Thank you

So I ported out 2 lines from T-mobil back in October to mint mobile. Not really happy with the service and want to switch back. Would I still qualify for $200 costco card, or is there a 90 day wait time to become eligible? Does anyone know?

Should be good as long as your not canceling any lines you can swap the devices around

I also got denied but just called the promotions line 1-877-470-3619 and spoke with a real nice rep who looked into it. She said that after reviewing it looks like I should've been qualified and that it might've just been a system error. She approved it manually and said to wait 72 hrs for notification. I just checked my status online and it now shows approved. It was actually pretty painless to do and the call took about 10 minutes total. I'd recommend giving them a call if you know you qualify but was denied. I also did the port through Costco.
