Same here. I've read through this entire post and the other free line post on SD. Still confused as why we can't simply port in a number at Costco, get the $200 rebate from Costco and also apply for the $100 rebate from T-mobile using promo 2020SWITCHP2 from their website
If you have a non-Tmo or Sprint (or T-Mo or Sprint MVNO) then by all means do it today. I am going to do it later because I don't have one to port in today and don't want to spend any more time in a Costco the day before Thanksgiving than I need to.
Does a Boost number work or does it have to be ATT/Verizon/GV?
From what I have heard, no. I bought one on eb, but after doing more research found that I think I would be wasting $10. Has to be ATT/Verizon or related MVNO of them. GV would work I guess but for whatever reason I feel like people struggle to do those ports efficiently.
Does Costco wireless counter ask for Costco membership card?

Get an unlocked phone (I got an old one phone that is not actively used/shown on the T-Mobile accounts page) and add a line at Costco. The Costco rep will give you a print out of a rebate instructions with the rebate #, IMEI of the phone, and the new phone number. I attached a photo of the print out.
Go home and port in a number. Submit rebate online for T-Mobile's $100 and Costco $200 using the port-in number within the 30 day deadline.
Thanks for the picture and clarification. I wasn't sure what number I had to use to submit the Costco rebate if I decided to stack with the $100 port rebate.
You recall how long it really took for the $100 cash card to come? 14th week?
14 wks and my rebate is still pending.

Do you need to port-in number right at Costco to receive $200 Costco rebate, or can that be done later?

You just need imei number in costco when adding a line, and i will suggest keep the sim in the same phonefor few days and do some activity like calling

The reason why for me was that I didn't want Costco or T-Mobile to know I was double-dipping since no one knew if that would work or was allowed.

So, you were able to just tell the Costco rep the IMEI number without bringing or showing the BYOD phone physically?
If I am eligible for the free line and add the line through Costco, how do I ensure that it is the free line? Do I need to call or chat with TMobile to make sure the new line is updated as free line?

Do I need to go to Costco store and add a line or can this be done online
Also, I did a BYOD Costco last month - I should still be able to do this right?
Thanks.
