No need to have a sim card in the unlocked BYOD phone. Costco will give you a free new sim when adding a new line (which you need to make sure would be eligible in the T-Mobile free line promo).

Ok cool. I was able to add 2 lines this year when they ran the same promo. Also I am on 6 lines and I believe 10 lines is the max, correct?

How do I combine this with Tmo's free add a line promo? How does Tmo know that Costco added line is the free line??

The max lines allowed depends on your plan. You have to check with T-Mobile. I maxed out at 12 lines unfortunately. Crying

This is the question I keep asking but looks like no answer. My understanding is that we get the new line added at Costco and then tell Tmobile rep via chat to apply promo on the new costco line?

I am currently NOT a Tmo customer. How can I make this deal work for me? Do I have to keep the Tmo line plan active/paid for 14+ weeks until the rebate is issued, or can I Port the Tmo line number back out during the first month?
