screenshot attached confirming the free A4 phone works with free line. I even ported a number from Boost and have confirmation that the $100 rebate is valid for it.

I don't think 4th bullet is correct. You have to use ur port in number not temp number
I am on the T-Mobile ONE Plan which was changed over from the simple choice like 2 years ago due to some weird thing that we needed to do to get more discounts.
When I approached the Costco Rep I specifically asked about the add a line offer with the $200 rebate. He said "sure, let me pull up your account and I will add it." While he was doing that I also inquired about the free line, and he said that it would be the line that I was getting. Typed in the SSN and last name and it pulled up the account and it said "Corp Disc" in one of the columns. He clicked next and it said to call in. COSTCO rep called it in, gave a bunch of numbers, passcodes, and a whole lotta whatever he said and wrote down my new number, and passed me a sim card with the number written on a sticky note attached to the sim card holder thingy. Gave me the paperwork to sign about all the rebates, that I have to give them my first born child, my soul will be kept in some dark corner of the universe, etc. etc. walked around to shop and left.
I have not tried to stack the porting in number yet, as I was going to try a Google Voice number, but have heard that it will get rejected, so may get some prepaid on Verizon or something along those lines and go for the rebate.
Some have had success before but only 2-3 months worth of time will tell if it will really work or not.
WORD OF CAUTION: It would seem that if you open the free line and put a phone on EIP on it, it will invalidate the free line, so DO NOT ADD A PHONE PAYMENT PLAN TO YOUR FREE LINE or you will start paying for it. People have been burned by this previously.

Ha ha... I feel the same when they recite their lines while signing few forms..
This helps. I better ask them to call TMobile rep while I'm in the store.
I've bought a port in number on Ebay for $8 if that helps.
Google voice is not accepted for port in. Its standard for TMobile.
Wish I read the rest of the thread re: Google Voice. The rep that I spoke with over the phone confirmed (several times) that GVoice numbers are eligible for the 2020SWTICHP2 promo. I even asked her to verify with a supervisor, who said "yes" as well. We'll see what happens...

G Voice isn't part of the approved list from when i took advantage of the free line and free phone via port in.
