2020 Line on Us 3 is still not on my account yet. I went to Costco last Wed to add a line. I msged tforce multiple times and they said they see that it's a free line. Should I be worried that it's still not showing up? I don't want to get screwed.
Existing ATT 4-line acct, willing to port. Obviously, I'd like to capture the $200 per line Costco GC + $100 per line Tmo (or $150 RedBox GC) Port-In Rebate + as many 3rd line free aka '2020 Line on Us P14' as possible without some sketch 'well it might work' scenario. Here's what I got...
Have (1) iPhone 6, (2) iPhone 6s and (1) LG G8 all paid and unlocked. Only the (2) 6s are in physical possession. I have IMEIs for all and the G8 will be a BYOD.
I'd like to take advantage of the $380 trade-in value for the old iPhones and (3) 'Get an iPhone 12 Mini on Us' offers (it appears you are allowed up to 4 discounted devices per acct).
I believe I have to do this with $140 Magenta 4-line Plan to get the promos.
I am Ok with paying tax upfront and putting the $350 bal per new phone on 24mo EIPs.
Are $10 SIM and/or $20 activation fee per line negotiable or waived it the acct is opened thru Costco? What info besides IMEIs should I be prepared to give rep at Costco kiosk?
So still fuzzy on the best way to do this, whether in steps with Costco or all at once with Costco? Does it matter?
Ie. open new 2-line $120 Magenta with phones in possession, get a free line. Add two more lines, get another free line and Plan will be updated automatically to a 4-line $140 Magenta for a total of 6 lines. If done all at once you would be limited to only 1 free line for a total of 5 lines. Is that correct?
Or, open new 3-line acct, get a free line. Then add a BYOD line, get another free line. Again, updated automatically to a 4-line $140 Magenta for a total of 6 lines. Is that correct?
So... how to end up with $140 Magenta 4-line w/ 2 free lines for total (6) lines, (4) Costco $200 GCs, (4) Tmo $100 Port-in rebates and (3) Phone 12 Minis after old phone trade in for $350 ea on 24-mo EIP each? If my math is right, out of pocket cost for each iPhone Mini is $50 + tax on the $730 pre-rebate phone cost. In my case, $58 making a total OOP $108 per device.
And lastly, to confirm,
1.) Nothing in these mega threads suggest opening a new Tmo acct thru Costco will ruin or disqualify the Tmo 'trade-in', 'port-in', 'iPhone12 Mini on us' or 'free line on us' promos, and;
2.) It is best to take the temp #'s then do the port-in yourself later.
Correct?
Again, don't want to FUBAR this so another set of eyes and your comments are welcome.
Thanks much.

You should really copypasta this over to Tmobile Reddit...folks over there do this stuff constantly, and follow the permutations and promos closely.
Well I'll try to do just that, thanks for the tip.
In the meantime, still welcome additional comments because I just got off the phone w? Tmo rep who says the rebate program is NOT available if the acct is opened at Costco due to their 3rd party relationship. Rebates are Tmo program only.
I finished my steps today and waiting for the reward cards now.
(I had no account with Tmobile and was interested in the 300$ ONLY). So only 1 line.
1. Got SIM from Costco with a new number (say NUM1) for Tmobile. I asked for Essential plan (as there is NO restriction of plan). BUT I was assigned the 55 unlimited plan for 45$ (40 with auto-pay - dont know how!)
2. Ported out GV numbers (say NUM 2). Paid 3$ (generated a new number and ported instantly) - YES google voice worked!
3. Chatted with Tmobile to port-in NUM 2
4. Filled in Costco rebate for 200 with NUM 2
5. Filled in Tmobile rebate using code 2020SWITCHP2 for 100$ with NUM 2
If both GCs comes, I could be in net 220$ (300 - 40 - 40 for 2 monthly cycle)

It would be taking a chance, I guess; but you'd surely loose $100 TM rebate, if not a free line promo. BYOD means BYOD, I don't think it can get any clearer that that.

I was told if you stack the free Pixel promotion with Costco's BYOD promotion then you'd risk losing the BYOD status on the line.
Can anyone confirm please?

In exact same boat. Seems like we're screwed and will have to ask them to manual credit each month
XDark_FenixXFor what it's worth I did the same thing and will be giving it to my brother later in December. Wonder if the IMEI change will invalidate the rebate
You were able to sign up at Costco and get the rebate form with just the IMEI number? The actual phone wasn't needed?
Am with ATT and availed their BYOD offer few months back and received the reward card. How long I should stick with them ?.inorder to avail this is there a limit like 6 months ?. otherwise they will revoke the card?

I am heading to Costco, just want to confirm that I don't need the port in number with me now with Costco rep when adding this BYOD, I will be assigned a number there, but I will need the number when do the port in after back home if I want the $100? Thanks for any confirmation before leaving.

Yes, you can do port in later with TM rep via chat or phone
