I read on this thread that someone mentioned we should use Costco temp number when submit Costco $200 rebate, instead of using the permanent number we ported in from other carrier, is this true? I looked at the Costco rebate form the rep gave me, he put the temp number ( the number the rep chose for adding the line) as permanent number on the form. Should we change the number to the newly port in number when submitting Costco rebate? I know this has been talked several times before, I am still confused and look for an answer. Thanks in advance.

It is indeed confusing. We were told multiple times to use the FINAL permanent number (which is the one ported in) so that when they check 90 days later, it is active. On the form, it also says to use the permanent number (see 5 i), so I would use the final number if I were you.

That said, I have always asked them to do the port-in at the same time, so never had to deal with this thing.

this the question I have too as I am planning to get the $100 porting promo from Tmo.
I called Costco wireless kiosk and asked what number to use after I port a number.
They said to use the final "ported" number as the permanent number.
Let see how this will work in 14 weeks Smilie
looks like the rebate system will check that the IMEI and "number" are alive in Tmobile network after 3 months before issuing the rebate.

I did use temp number to file for rebate back in September and ported number in October over temp numbers. Received rebate without any issues.

i used temp numbers to file for rebate in sept then ported in my numbers in oct. Just received my rebates (3 months wait) so I think the temp numbers is ok, as long as you keep the line active.

What about IMEI? Can we change phones during 3 months waiting period?

They had closed the promotion early on Dec 1 or 2. So technically there was NO promotion on Dec 3. Apparently it came back Dec 4-7. Did you get the form for rebate? In that case, you can go back to Costco and put up a fight

Just checked the redemption from, it says up to 14 weeks after submission for Costco $200, so a while from now, looks like the Tmobile $100 is about 30 days.
