For those interested, Amazon has select digital 4K movies on sale for $4.99 each. Prime members may redeem earned 'No Rush Shipping' credits on this purchase (check your balance [amazon.com]). None of these titles except Big, Body Double, American Gangster & Battleship, are Movies Anywhere compatible.

Pretty sure they weren't going for accuracy. They were going for suspense and action. I mean, they also got quite a bit about humans wrong, like being able to climb up onto a roof in torrential rain with one arm recently wrenched off. Exactly zero people went to this movie thinking, "I'm gonna learn something about alligators today."

Fully agree. MA should be mandatory on all digital purchases including TV shows. Someone pointed out to me recently on SD that Amazon terms clearly specify that if Amazon loses the rights to the content then they are in no obligation to still provide access to that content. That's really messed up and hence only looking to buy MA movies for digital purchases. Made me hold off on purchasing Iron Man movie the other day even though I liked the price for it.

So Amazon apparently has the worst streaming quality by a mile. If I buy a movie that is MA compatible and watch it from MA, is Amazon still doing the streaming or it's direct from MA?

If it's MA and you find it in your MA, Vudu, iTunes, etc. account, that streaming service is who you're streaming from... Not Amazon. You may find some services are 4K, Dolby Vision, and Atmos, while another may just be HD and Dolby Digital 5.1 surround... or 4K, HDR+, and Atmos. Amazon just took your money and any profit behind it.

Not sure how this is a deal

relatively speaking should they not be like $2.99?

Physical costing so much more than digital sucks to begin with. Due to mass production, it probably costs them like 50 cents or something like that to make a case and disc...

Dora movie is actually on prime. Not sure why Amazon just doesn't list that as an option play if you're prime member. You have to scroll down or search for the movie nd the movie shows up as included in prime with a different cover image as well.

Yeah I refuse to buy another digital movie from Amazon since I don't "own" it. I'm good on that. If it's on Vudu I'll take a look at a couple of these
