well one team here is usually horrible. angels had gone decades with just playoff appearances afaik until they won the world series. kings had gretzky, and until recently ducks were known more for the movies. clippers.. nuf said.

all the ny teams have won championships and are premiere teams.

clippers owner is very satisified. between luxury tax and the great lease at staples he makes an easy 20-40 mill a season. he doesn't care about winning..just turning a profit.

Yeah, they've had up-and-down seasons. I can't blame the owner of the Clippers doing it like that, but it'd piss me off, too, if I was a fan of theirs. That reminds me of what some say Jerry Jones of the Cowboys does. (Now that I live in the area, I have to deal w/ all this crap.) He's accused of only making $ and selling out even if the team is not winning. Perhaps ditto for Hicks of the Rangers, although he's apparently losing $ and had to borrow $ from the MLB to pay some players. EEK!

All right, time for bed. Go Yankees!
