Steps
  1. Click here to link your American Express Membership Rewards account to your Amazon account
    • Note, you often have to wait 24 to 48 hours after linking your rewards account before you can "activate" the offer. Check the link in the next step after a few days for eligibility.
  2. Click here to activate the promotion on your Amazon account
  3. Add products sold and shipped by Amazon.com to your shopping cart
  4. Proceed to checkout and select your American Express Rewards Card as your payment method
  5. Select the amount of Membership Rewards Points you would like to use for the purchase (must use at least 1 MR point)

VERY IMPORTANT NOTES:
1. use only one MR point on the order, as using MR points on Amazon is inefficient.
2. do not use these until black friday.. we have typically seen special discounts on black friday, and these amex discounts apply on top of the original price.. so if you have an item priced at 50, but a black friday deal makes it 25, this discount could potentially give you 20% off the original $50, effectively doubling your overall discount percentage.

Quick data point:

I had a 10% AMEX MR offer previously loaded, and this one worked for me too.

After using the 20%, the older 10% offer still shows as available.

Why not just use it on a gc you'll use? Guaranteed max value of the promo. Unless you want bragging rights that "I got x item at Y amount off". It's still the same value in your wallet.
