The external battery is locked in a cage/frame protecting it so it's very difficult to remove...

Yes it does and connects to Segway ninebot app. But can't do firmware updates.

Just received mine. It looks pretty new to me. There are some dusts and scratches, but nothing that looks like used in the street. probably scuffs from testing and poor handling in the factory.

Let me go out testing after the charge.

Got mine today. It's basically brand new. New tires, fiction brake has never been used. Console still have protective stickers. Shows 0.5km in the app. Probably from QC testing. Very happy.

Update 2:
- You can download segway ninebot app and register to connect with the e-scooter.
- Mine showed 0.3 km usage probably from testing.
- Firmware Update fails at 47%. It supposed to bring better battery optimization and performance, but welp I will take it $222 with 3 year warranty ( I wonder what warranty will cover because this will probably die in 3 years.)

Mine arrived today. It looks brand new. The packaging looks original. Took it for a spin while no one was home (this is a gift) and felt bad for getting the tires and footpad dusty. I wish I would have ordered a few more.
