Similar deals at B&H (with code) and Amazon (no code needed). Be sure to check taxes, as you might have a better deal depending on your state with B&H

Yup, but it's a Chinese owned company now.

I have a DS412+ that has been chugging along nicely since 2012. I've been able to stream Plex 1080p content without issue since then. However, I am at the point where I'd like to potentially upgrade to something that can handle multiple streams and do the hw transcoding right on the NAS.

Would the 920+ be the logical step forward? Or should I go with one of the beefier NAS's Synology offers? I can only do Synology since I run a SHR cluster and would need to migrate my existing drives.

These are great for "shucking" the drive inside and using it in your NAS unit.

The 20+ series I believe only comes with two flavors of celeron processors.
I have a 220+ and it fails to play my lengthy home videos beyond 90 or so seconds. Even short videos don't work. And these are all 1080p or 720. The issue might be the avchd container as they are correctly encoded. Just my experience as I needed basic NAS with one or two security cameras and play old camcorder videos that have been saved on multiple SD and usbs
