I personally recommend this deal over the other one from BB due to specs. The one from Costco isn't bad at all. All come down to your needs.
165MHz vs 144MHz that is better for gaming. IPS doesn't give an advantage for gaming

I bought this monitor specifically to use with my series X and I can confirm it runs at 120 FPS at 1080p with hdmi 1.4. Warzone and other games look phenomenal and it's significantly improved my gameplay coming from a 75 inch TV.

I also bought a 27 inch curved ASUS VA monitor thinking I wanted a bigger screen and the difference between VA and IPS was immediately noticeable. IPS was much more vivid and I ended up returning the 27 and stuck with this.

Unless you want 1440p or 4K, buy this monitor for gaming, you won't regret it.

Forgot to add, freesync also works on the console and the stand is amazing.

I have new information showing that this monitor indeed will do 120hz on Ps5 via hdmi1.4 .

My buddy has one and we tested it on my Ps5

This has HDMI 1.4. You won't be able to get 144hz over HDMI. Typically the 144hz advertised is achieved only over display port. Hdmi 2.0 can get you 120Hz
This is incorrect information, and you should edit your post. This is currently the most helpful voted post because people believe you.

1080p @144hz is absolutely possible over HDMI 1.4. HDMI 1.4 can do up to 8.16 gbps.
1080p @144hz uses 8.00 Gbps.

Someone else in this thread confirmed that this particular monitor can do 144hz using HDMI and also see this reddit thread:

https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp....249q_hdmi/

HDMI 1.4 can't do 4K @ 60hz
HDMI 2.0 can't do 4K @ 120hz

HDMI version limits are all about bandwidth, and the hardware manufacturer might also limit the monitor or output device.

See this chart of video bandwidth usage and HDMI compatibility for more details:

This monitor is $149 on NewEgg after $20 mail in rebate. Just a FYI.
I see at $228 at Newegg.

Where do you see it for $149?

Also, very good reviews from rtings but on 27" monitor:

I have yet to see a 1.4hmdi work past 60hz on a ps5. The xbox has options to switch between connections but the ps5 doesn't. At this point i havent seen a single 1.4 work past 60hz and even some monitors with hdmi2.0 have issues. Maybe sony will make a patch soon. But at this point Im almost positive it wont work on ps5.

My friend had to swap his benQ xl2731 for a benq XL2411k because of this issues. My acer pred 144hz with 1.4hdmi will not do 120hz on ps5. Maybe its the way the panels and switches are individually. But i'd like to see manufacturers specify which will work and which wont. However a big issue is sonys side since 1.4s should be able to do 120hz.

I already got downvoted in another comment i made. But i dont wanna see people buy something that wont work for them, only to have to go through a return process
That's unfortunate for PS5 owners. I'm surprised a new console wouldn't support 120hz as I foresee that being the norm in gaming moving forward.

I did specify in my post that 120hz 100% works for Xbox series X, and not only does it work, but the smoothness and stability is glorious.

For anyone looking into this monitor, I would highly suggest combing through the reviews on bestbuy/amazon as there are a lot of mentions in regards to what works and what doesn't. Personally, I have been very happy with the monitor and would recommend it if you can take advantage of the higher refresh rate.

Do you have to disable freesync? Based on Reddit that has to be done on a few 1440p monitors which defeats the whole purpose. I imagine at 1080p that is not the case.

120 on the next gen consoles never really crossed my mind. Didn't think it would be possible.

I have 144 on my laptop, and it's pretty nice and I just bought the Samsung 75hz. Wonder if I should return it and grab this.

1.4 supports 144hz. I get 144hz on PC with my Viewsonic and 120hz on PS5 with it. It depends on the monitor. https://www.displayninja.com/whic...for-144hz/

I bought this. Be aware there is a flicker issue if you use an nvidia card with adaptive sync and this monitor. It's fixable though.
What is the fix? Interested in pairing with nvidia for adaptive sync.
