Unfortunately, you sound like someone with zero experience with any of these current robovacs besides your Eufys.

It's a Costco specific 7+. Larger battery, more accessories.

I believe the big negative with this brand vs others that deposit into a bin, is this requires buying extra disposal bags?

T8 is fantastic except that it can only store two maps which is just silly.
As long as one of them is for the death star, you're ok.

This is Costco specific but it's comparable to the i7 from roomba with some added features. There are some great YouTube videos that compare models. This is the ideal one for us with the lidar detection and mapping of the rooms. Just bought one Tuesday in the warehouse.

Anyone has any anecdotal experience with this vacuum and pet hair? I have a German shepherd that significantly sheds and been thinking about this one for a while
I have a Siberian husky and 2 great pyrnees.. it works quite well but you will have to pull rollers out like once month to clear built up hair off. Also schedule it run more often so it doesn't have to fight tons of hair each time it cleans.

I Just bought the roomba 985 from them for $499. We liked the stronger suction. Is this one a better buy? We have 2 dogs. Mainly wood tile floor and we put it on carpet sometimes. We are replacing our 675 (I think that's the model)

We have the i7+ and i8+ (same thing) and we love it. We also have 2 dogs and 3 cats. Does a great job. The self emptying is a game changer..

Any idea which brand/model would be good for a townhome without pets?

Look for Vacuum wars on YouTube. He has pretty good reviews on all these vacuums

Any good? Any better or similar options that are cheaper?
The i3 is on sale for $399 and is great. The main difference is that with this one (the more expensive one) you can name rooms on the map and schedule and specify cleaning certain areas and make keep out zones. The i3 has a semi smart mapping function. It will map your floor and it cleans in methodical lines, but it will clean the whole area unless you physically block it or use iRobot's barriers. For both, if the battery needs to be charged but they are not done, they will go charge and then resume their job which is great.

Is this discontinued or Costco specific? There's no i8 model available on Amazon or even listed on Roomba's own website.. The i3 and i7 and then the s9 model is all that shows up.
Its Costco specific. I just bought this yesterday and when you pair it with the app it says i7 lol. I actually have the i7 as well.

I have the i7 (and apparently this is the Costco version of i7) and bought it about two weeks ago. I have been running it everyday, sometimes twice a day, because you gotta get the money's worth! I have three large dogs—one with long hair that sheds like crazy. Similar to a German shepherd.

I vacuumed tonight using my "real" vacuum (Shark) and was expecting next to nothing due to the amount of vacuuming the roomba has done. It was FULL. I was shocked. Am considering returning actually.

The i9 supposedly has 40x the suction so maybe that would be better for us pet owners??

I bought this unit a couple months ago and now I'm tempted to return to get this huge discount. Costco wouldn't just credit me would they?
