It appears that these are so new there aren't any reviews online, which is a little odd considering the current demand for dumbbells.

I'm considering this myself so I'm factoring in a few pros/cons:

Pros

- Easily adjustable weight

- Rep/fitness tracking (not a big deal, I could do without the smart features — some may like this)

- Max weight of fifty pounds each

- Immediate availability

- Best Buy/Apple carry the JAXJOX Kettlebell, which has mostly positive reviews

Cons

- 1-year warranty (I'm putting this at the top since I'm not sure of the longevity of these dumbbells)

- Price isn't bad, but it's still $50-$100 more than alternatives like the Bowflex 552

- Weights can only be adjusted in six-pound increments

It could be worth taking a risk on these since Best Buy's return policy applies. I'm still on the fence.

These are back in-stock. They sold out on Black Friday.

I ended up regretting not ordering a pair so I placed my order tonight.

Honestly something like the Core Fitness Adjustable Dumbbells are probably a better option, but they're only available with the bench and are too much of a commitment at over $600. Even when they restock them again they charge for tax and shipping so they end up costing around the same price as the JAXJOX.

While Bowflex 552 dumbbells are cheaper, their site states they won't deliver for four months. Assuming that's accurate, I'll look at that as four months of a gym membership.

The final pro I could think of for these is that their price isn't inflated due to the pandemic, whereas the Core Fitness Dumbbells were last available at Walmart for $280 and the Bowflex 552 were as low as $200 a year ago. MSRP on these is $450, so they should hold their value assuming they end up being reliable. FYI I used a credit card that adds an extra year of warranty for peace of mind.

These are a new, unproven product and if I'm not satisfied with them I can return them to Best Buy under the holiday return policy and hopefully the other alternatives will be a little cheaper/more readily available at that point.

The monthly fee isn't necessary to use these. Honestly I'm not even sure I'll use the included app. The "smart" aspect integrated into dumbbells has no appeal to me.

Actually the "studio" is a smart gym system that is not released yet. The mobile app membership is $13 per month.
