Pretty good price for the cleaver although it looks kinda cheap with the plastic handle for a company that's supposed to make decent knives. $70 original price for 4" paring knife is laughable though. $20 is the max I'd pay for a knife that's only used for peeling fruits and vegetables.
That's about right. Cleavers can't have too high of HRC or else it will chip since it's sometimes cutting through bone.

Yea and there's no way the cleaver was originally $175. It's probably worth about $50.

This must be their cheap line since this particular cleaver is not sold anywhere else.

So is Zwilling Five Star discontinued products?
Or normally only sold at Bed Bath & Beyond?
Don't see it sell anywhere else. And even at Zwilling com, there is no section for Five Star products. Only has 2 Five Star knives on their website.

I'm down for the Cleaver. Looks pretty good, definitely not their cheap line but just really old stock or a one off. All their cheap stuff is stamped and or made in China. This is forged, and made in Germany like their Four Star or Pro lines.

Review is mediocre. Don't need 3 for free shipping. No other items worth buying though.

At least the Chinese do know how to make one of their Chinese all purpose cleaver knives well. They are also cheaper usually and better made than this. $20 should be the normal price.
