Note that if you're buying this for the new zen 3 series processor, you'll need to have an older ryzen processor at hand to do a BIOS update to make it compatible for the new zen 3. This motherboard will not work otherwise and it does not have BIOS flashback.

Since you can't buy a 5xxx series chip to go with this right now I would just hold out until they are available and by then these will all be shipping with the updated bios. (could be already but you don't know if they're still liquidating old stock) At the normal $200 price this is still a great board. I've been abusing mine for 6+ months so far.

I was able to get the 5600x luckily and I wanted this board as well. But after learning about no BIOS flashback, I decided to go for the Asus B550F which has the same VRM internals and a flashback.

Is that specific to this mb?
I'm thinking of getting a 5700 tomahawk
I'm thinking about this and the MsI z490 tomahawk. I just got the Intel Core i5-10600K as a gift so trying to get a mobo that works well with it. Can you please give some recommendation? Or any deal or new egg that should work for that i5? Thanks

This board has the best VRM temps for the cost you can get. Only board better that would be worth it is the MSI MAG

This has no bios flash button. So it requires older CPU to be installed to update it so 5000 series most likely won't work depends on how old bios is.

For what it's worth, I bought this board from Best Buy last month and it worked out of the box with the Ryzen 5600X
