I might regret not getting this one but i still think the zenbook i bought with the specs shown below was the best bang for the buck i got ($450). Has premium build and extremely fast. Dont think 4700U offers much of an upgrade over it considering the HP laptop might lack a few premium options / quality build compared to the Asus?

With the solder off you should just be able to slide in whatever memory you want after that into both slots right? Just like clipping a padlock off a bothersome fence?
