My experience with backlit keyboards is they wash out on white or silver laptops due to the screen reflecting off of the keys. Opt for the Fog Blue to minimize.
Add TOUCH, 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD -- The configuration comes to 609, Apply coupon SMBHOL10 to bring down the total to $548.

Coupon SMBHOL10 works for $599 or more.

Paypal Chase offer gives 5% cashback too !!
Wow $400 for Ryzen 7 4700U + FHD screen + WiFi 6 (just $10 for the WiFi upgrade, so why not futureproof it), it's gotta be one of the cheapest, if not the cheapest ever for that combo.

A pretty futureproof buy, and I think the RAM and SSD are replaceable so if you need to do it now, or in the future, it's a perfect base to start with.

Is FedEx actually requiring signature for these? Of course they delivered mine today, which is literally the 1st days in months when there was no one home to sign. It shows delivered and signed for by my first initial and my misspelled last name. Hopefully they actually delivered it to the right address.

Assuming they actually delivered it to the right place, I've got no complaints.
nope its indirect signature so you better be home!

It charges through the power socket or the USB-C port.

Plug in a low wattage USB-C phone charger.
but isnt that bad for the laptop battery if you use a very very low charger in place of a larger charger? It will be more wear on the battery?

for those who ordered 2 or more laptops, did they come in one pkg or? I was looking at my door camera, the driver only brought one pkg and it looked like a typical one laptop pkg that you would normally get from any store.
I ordered two in one order. Two separate packages with two separate tracking.

That is so weird they didn't mention a finger printer sensor, because that was one of the reasons some people went for the dell computer. Lots of people are gonna be upset haha

Honestly, I should have ordered 3 of these, not just two. I should have got one for my wife as well.
You want one of mine?
8GB or 16GB?

I ordered two laptops and one laptop got dellivered just now. I thought I would get both laptops.
I dont see any more shipments coming and dont know if HP sent one (they charged both laptops)

I ordered two. They arrived together in separate packages with separate tracking numbers. FedEx just left a few minutes ago. I won't get a chance to open them until later this evening, after my Hooligans retire upstairs for the evening.
man.. this is so dumb! I only saw one pkg from the camera but when I log into HP site, only one tracking number and it doesn't say if both shipped or just one.

edit: I just logged in agai to Fedex app and got another shipment notification but this time it's coming from Cranbury NJ.

So would just upgrading ram increase the gpu ram as well? The second pic is the ram that I will use since I have two of them.

I might open it up if the ram is upgradeable.
I see two #0 or #1 Phillips screws under the front edge.
Any chance these can be opened up without ripping the rubber feet off?
If you put 2666 SODIMMs in it, it might slow down your performance, including video since it's shared memory.
OTOH, if they're bigger, it might let you dedicate more memory to graphics...

But I read that there are screws under rubbers feet's as well. I have a diff Pavilion with similar design and those rubber feet's have screws under it. So with a hair dryer and some patience they cone off unwrinkled so you can put it back on evenly.

The ram you are putting in is slower than the one that came pre installed. Get a faster ram . 3200mhz cl20 is available on amazon.
This is the best ram I found for this laptop

HyperX Impact 3200MHz DDR4 CL20 SODIMM (Kit of 2) HX432S20IB2K2/32, 32GB kit (2 x 16GB) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08K9BM...XFCZ?psc=1

So I have two of these ram sticks for total of 16gb but they are pc4 2666v so are they slower than whats included with this laptop?

Will I actually notice a diff since I do at times have up to 3-4 browsers windows opened,
Zoom app,
Solidworks,
OBS recorder,
OneNote opened
all at the same time.
