Mine had some offer for 1 year of 25GB of Dropbox. I looked up the terms and purchases after 9/1/2020 are supposed to have 100GB of Dropbox for 1 year.
https://help.dropbox.co
I contacted support and they gave me the rest of the space on my account
If you run into this where your laptop only offers 25GB and you want your other 75GB
https://puu.sh/GYVSq/9ca50b9f3b.png
- Redeem the 25GB offer using the pre-installed app on your laptop, linking it to your account so they have verification that you redeemed the offer with your device.
- Send an email to [email protected] telling them you only received 25GB, yet you were supposed to receive 100GB since you purchased on XX-XX-2020 directly from HP. Include the above link to promotion terms and attach your HP Laptop invoice to the email ( I used the one from my HP account)
- Follow their instructions but they should have enough to verify and add it to your account

Paypal Chase offer gives 5% cashback too !!
A pretty futureproof buy, and I think the RAM and SSD are replaceable so if you need to do it now, or in the future, it's a perfect base to start with.

First of all, build quality and overall feel is much better than expected. I'm replacing my HP 14 laptop which I got for $279 at Costco last year. It crapped out on me a few weeks ago and Costco Concierge gave me a full refund on it. That was a plastic piece of junk compared to this.
I replaced the ssd and ram to 1tb and 32gb ram. Installed windows 10 using a newly created windows usb from Microsoft. It activated automatically. Drivers installed automatically from windows update.
It is super fast. Much faster than the HP 14 (Intel i5 1035g4) Everyday tasks are a breeze. Speakers are loud and clear. USB c charging is great. HDMI output 4k @ 60hz. USB C also outputs 4k@60hz using a dongle. Youtube 4k60 videos play instantly without any stutter.
Wifi 6 connects at 1.2gbps max. Usually connects around 920mbps. Download speeds are around 500 - 700mbps. Upload for some reason is only about 50. I have gigabit up and down. Only this device has this issue. I may need to do some further testing.
Doesn't get super hot like my previous laptop.
I also purchased an HP pavilion 14t from the Cyber Monday deal (1135g7, 8gb, 250nit 1080p touch) to replace the wife's yoga 730 and ordered another HP 14t (400nit 1080p screen) for myself. I was going to choose between that and this HP 15. I think I've made up my mind to keep this one because of the 4700u cpu being such a beast.
Very happy with this purchase.

It's as good of a package for $409 (nevermind the cashback i got as well) as you can probably ask for in a laptop. The thing just flies and I have yet to hear the fan. Did all the updates and will look into other more technical updates over the next few weeks if/as they arise.
Fingerprint reader is a pleasant surprise and has worked flawlessly so far. The Fog Blue is just gorgeous. Touchpad is one of the better ones I have used from HP as their touchpads/mouse clicks are usually god awful. This one is actually pretty solid and smooth . . . still lower grade but good for HP.
Wish the screen was a bit better with brightness but I mean I knew that going in with the 250 nits. Still perfectly fine for everyday indoor use. Weight of laptop is about as expected, wouldn't want to go any heavier so glad I didn't opt for the touchscreen. Battery life could always be better but after messing around with it for 2 hours unplugged, brightness all the way up and doing updates . . . It went from 100 to 73 . . . so I can't complain.
Overall I think you all will be very happy with it. Will eventually upgrade the RAM and the SSD as deals come through and now that its confirmed they can be updated.
Have a good holiday everybody.
Is there any bloatware or anything that I should remove ?

I'm using Defender and Malwarebytes so McAfee goes.
Haven't decided if I'll try the preinstalled VPN.
I'll look at what apps are credited with using battery power when I never asked them to run in the first place, and kill most of them before I hook up to the internet.
