My experience with backlit keyboards is they wash out on white or silver laptops due to the screen reflecting off of the keys. Opt for the Fog Blue to minimize.
Add TOUCH, 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD -- The configuration comes to 609, Apply coupon SMBHOL10 to bring down the total to $548.

Coupon SMBHOL10 works for $599 or more.

Paypal Chase offer gives 5% cashback too !!
Wow $400 for Ryzen 7 4700U + FHD screen + WiFi 6 (just $10 for the WiFi upgrade, so why not futureproof it), it's gotta be one of the cheapest, if not the cheapest ever for that combo.

A pretty futureproof buy, and I think the RAM and SSD are replaceable so if you need to do it now, or in the future, it's a perfect base to start with.

Mine is missing the back-lit keyboard as well. Smh. Did you have to buy a new one out of pocket and get a refund or are they just sending you a replacement?
They are sending me a return package and I have to send it in. He indicated they would install the backlit keyboard and then send it back. We'll see.

What is the best way to remove them ?
I hit the search (magnifying glass) on the taskbar, type in programs, select Add or Remove Programs, which takes you to a list of Apps. Click on Amazon, for example, and then Uninstall.

Disk speeds, with the 256GB WD SN530 that was standard on Black Friday.
Top row, battery saver and max performance while on battery (just moved the performance slider, didn't go into individual settings).
Bottom row, default/better performance, and max performance while plugged in.

Alexa goes for sure.
I'm using Defender and Malwarebytes so McAfee goes.
Haven't decided if I'll try the preinstalled VPN.
I'll look at what apps are credited with using battery power when I never asked them to run in the first place, and kill most of them before I hook up to the internet.
Is the preinstalled vpn free?

That sounds pretty easy.
And from your earlier post, I should do that before connecting to the internet

My laptop produces a static noise (small but noticeable and annoying in a quiet place) when moving the mouse with the power connected. Does anyone have the same issue?

Did you have to install any HP drivers? I just reinstall windows also on the new 1TB Samsung, but so far so good. I'm not sure if I need anymore drivers from HP.
I didn't install anything from HP. Works perfect

how did the costco laptop crap out?
WiFi stopped working. Replaced the WiFi card but WiFi just wouldn't turn on in windows. Costco concierge service had me do some basic troubleshooting and them decided it's cheaper for them to refund the laptop instead of me sending it in for repair. They did make me take it back to the store. They didn't even want the charging cable back.

I was able to buy almost every single hottest black Friday this year. All in all, I bought 7 different laptops and I have to say the Asus Zenbook by farrrrrr stands out in terms of quality and specs
what are you going to do with 7 laptops?

My Ryzen 5 deal from Walmart does also. It squeals very annoyingly when powered off and plugged in----see if yours does.

Couldn't help myself 😂. I just needed 1 but the deals were so good. I ended up only keeping one and sold the rest (mostly to my family and friends).

Can anyone who has a fast internet connection please try running an internet speed test? I have gigabit up/down and for some reason my upload doesn't go over 50mb. This is the only device with this issue.

Same issue with transferring files over the network. Max 50mbps.

I have 1g up and down, I ran a test and got down 650 and up 800

I had ordered the ceramic white. Only the laptop lid (external) is white... The keyboard is silver. Is that how it's supposed to be? TIA
Mine is exactly the same.
