My experience with backlit keyboards is they wash out on white or silver laptops due to the screen reflecting off of the keys. Opt for the Fog Blue to minimize.
Add TOUCH, 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD -- The configuration comes to 609, Apply coupon SMBHOL10 to bring down the total to $548.

Coupon SMBHOL10 works for $599 or more.

Paypal Chase offer gives 5% cashback too !!
Wow $400 for Ryzen 7 4700U + FHD screen + WiFi 6 (just $10 for the WiFi upgrade, so why not futureproof it), it's gotta be one of the cheapest, if not the cheapest ever for that combo.

A pretty futureproof buy, and I think the RAM and SSD are replaceable so if you need to do it now, or in the future, it's a perfect base to start with.

Good to know, at least there is a way to "exchange" it with the same price. Thanks again.
Yeah. It was a good deal. I couldn't find anything else comparable for that same price.

Its hard to find but hard to sell as well, i tried to put an ad in Nj and no one really want to pay even $400 (same as deal price). Probably they don't want to pay high price even if its Ryzen 7.

I understand that many of you have issues but between the two laptops (did not know till today otherwise would have taken advantage of coupons), there have been no problems since fired these up. So we may be lucky ones - able to order, delivered before Xmas (though three days late), and working fine.

So this happened... All of a sudden, my laptop won't turn on. The battery is charged and plugged in. The power button lights up for one second and shuts off. No power. No fan noise, nothing. Pressing and holding the power button does the same thing. I pressed it down for one minute, still nothing. I searched online and some forums suggest pulling the cmos battery but I opened the laptop and can't find it. Does anyone know anything else I can try?

Yes. I made sure they sent something in writing. They should have a way of exchanging it without forking full price out.
I forgot to ask earlier, did HP mention "restocking fee" for such "exchange"(pay full price for the new one, then refund the difference)? thanks!

If I haven't connected my new laptop to the internet and my windows 10 license hasn't activated yet, then I go and upgrade both my nvme m.2 ssd and ram. Using usb to boot a fresh install of windows 10, will it ask me for a windows 10 product key or should my laptop automatically recognize and activate windows 10 license. Reason for asking is because I don't have the Windows 10 product key from the box.

I think the key is embedded into the bios so as long as you installing home version with secure uefi boot, it should work automatically

Try taking the memory out and putting it back in or leaving one stick in, or maybe just try to boot off ac power
