Here's an overall price breakdown. Hopefully this will help others decide whether or not this is slick enough to jump on.

Note: These prices are based on shipping/tax for Texas (8.25%).

Normal Price Breakdown

$18.75 - 15 months of Cam Plus (billed annually at $1.25/mo)
$19.99 - Wyze Cam V3
$5.99 - Shipping for Wyze Cam V3
$3.69 - Tax (TX 8.25%)

Total: $48.42

Deal Price Breakdown

$23.88 - 15 months of Cam Plus
$0.00 - Wyze Cam V3
$5.99 - Shipping for Wyze Cam V3
$2.46 - Tax (TX 8.25%)
$1.65 - Possible tax (TX 8.25%) on free Wyze Cam V3

Total: $32.33 to $33.98

This comes out to an overall savings of $14.44 (30%) to $16.09 (33%), depending on whether or not they are charging tax on the free Wyze Cam V3.

tl;dr: If you're planning on getting a V3 and subscribing to Cam Plus for a year, I'd say this deal is pretty slick.

Quick question.. So when you say it 'bogged the cube down" do you mean to do other things or it was dedicated to the cams? I am new to all of this but already have tiny cam pro and if there is an alternative to monthly subscriptions I am all in. May be a bf deal on the cube I can grab while I'm at it
I used the Fire Cube for other stuff too, and with tinyCam PRO running in the background, it was super sluggish to do pretty much anything else, like watch Netflix.

Same here, I actually want to get other items like additional mount plates so hoping the shipping doesn't get too expensive. Honestly I figured I would buy the camera and sign up afterwards and not lose any time like others have mentioned if you buy the plan and then get the code for a free camera.

Did you receive an email containing a code for $10 off? I am just curious if they're sending them to free trial subscribers also.
I did. I have been a paying subscriber of Cam Plus, though. I have used the code to pre-order two v3's. The code effectively made it a free shipping deal plus another buck or so off the cameras.

Apart from the code, I have also taken advantage of the annual subscription deal ($14.99) for Cam Plus.

By the way, if you are currently running a monthly subscription on Cam Plus, Wyze will refund the unused portion of it when you change the subscription to the annual in your account setup.

Ordered 2 cams (one for front and back of the house). While this is a wired cam and will be a bit of work to hook up for first time, I'm excited for the pixel based motion detection rather than IR cam. Expecting it's performance to be far better with fewer dead zones.

Agree with others, UX is a bit confusing for creating a new account. Still waiting for the codes to order the cams.

Note that the subscriptions apparently starts immediately after the order with no grace period. So if it takes a couple of weeks to get my cams, I'll probably call customer service ask for an extra free month to compensate for shipping delay. Most likely they will give it.
Motion detection on wyze cams kinda sucks. Eufy and ring are instantaneous but you pay a little more. Indoor ring is $42 right now and eufy is around $30.

Based on what are you saying motion detection is not good? Have you used the cam?

Hi I am completely new to outdoors security systems.. I did lot of reading on eufy 2c and 2c pro 2k, how does this wayze v3 compare to those outdoors cam.. i know eufy are subscriptions free.. so u save money there on alerts .. but overall wayze as a company as previous users on wayze v2 on previous models vs eufy .. any inputs would really really helpful..
I got the Eufy 2k thinking it's gonna be an upgrade over my v2 wyze but I honestly couldn't see a difference in image quality. I had them side by side and they look almost identical. I'd go as far as saying wyze night vision is better. Eufy motion detection system is million times better than wyze. If you need them for security I'd go with Eufy. If you're not worried about motion alerts the wyze is a winner.

Ok thanks a lot .this is very helpful..I really appreciate it.
I am looking for basic security camera system that I can go back n check recording of 15 days just in case I need it. N I see that wayze v3 has lots n lots of improvement n that may be adding more motion related alerts .

I've had several wyze v2 cams since day one. Motion detection alerts are completely unreliable. My son almost died in his swing before wyze sent me a motion alert. It's about a 30 second delay. I recently got ring and eufy and they're on a whole another level with motion detection alerts. I wouldn't buy Ring or Eufy 2k solely for image quality because you can barley see a difference.

Well this is v3, so no one really knows how well the AI pixel based motion detection works compared to the old ones because the model is brand new. I get you had bad experience. I've gone through a few cameras myself and returned because detection can be delayed or spotty. Each one has their own set of issues and no perfect cam. So I intend to just try the can see how it goes. Worst case I return within 30 days.

Yeah I've seen some YouTube reviews of the v3 and they've supposedly brought down the motion alert delay to 4 seconds which would be amazing for $25 cam with great night vision. Even if you don't get cam plus you'll have 24/7 playback easily viewable if you install a micro sd card. I use that feature more than anything else on all my different cams.

I agree with you that, if you need a device to alert you to take an action right now, Wyze leaves much to be desired. For such use, there are better choices, albeit more expensive.

We have four Wyze cams (v2 and Pan combined), and the primary purpose for us is to be able to have evidence of potentially nefarious behavior occurring in and around our house. We need not catch anything at the moment of such occurrence - we just want a recording device. For this purpose, Wyze cams do a more than acceptable job, assuming that you set them to the continuous recording mode with an SD card.

Thanks again..
I will have to get base for this right ? N I see on wyze website they have base along with 1 outdoor camera. I don't see just the base sold alone. Wtze outdoor camera is different then wyze v3 cam so why should I buy that?
