Here's an overall price breakdown. Hopefully this will help others decide whether or not this is slick enough to jump on.

Hopefully this helps other people. I originally posted earlier about not getting this deal due to shipping, but I caved because I wanted one...

I received the free code within 10 minutes of ordering.

Delivery of the cam is in January.

You get a credit for 3 months for when you order a 2nd year.

It is a year subscription for $23.88. Since you do not have the V3, they give you credit for an addition 3 months ($3.75) which is subtracted when/if you do another year subscription.

1st Year: 12months + V3 cam = 23.88+tax + Shipping
2nd Year: 12months = 14.99 - 3.75 = $11.24+tax

I was also on their free trial and didn't get an email. But I went onto their page and the offer was on it, I ordered the subscription and used PayPal to pay and got the free camera code right away.

Yes, once for the subscription and then when they sent me the code for the free camera I placed an order for the camera by itself, just had to pay $6 shipping.

Beta testers, of whom there are many, get pre-release ones. And so do the members of the tech media.

And who knows? Maybe some people who pre-ordered early (e.g., October) are starting to receive the production batches now. I don't know for sure, though.
