$450 trade + $200 shop card = $650 from Costco. Pay 2-3 months of service
Vs T-Mobile $830 new line plus trade . 30 months for service
To save more money, if I had an old iPhone 5, is it smart to simply open another line for the $200 shop card? keep the line open with the old device until you get your shop card then cancel? How long would that take?
Like in my scenario, I bought $700 worth of Apple Store gift cards from Target total for $552 (after discounts and etc)
Trade in for my iPhone 11 $350 + $150 Tmo credit = $500
So, cost of the iphone 12 pro is $1000 - 552 - 500 = Comes down to $ -52 (Future credit for Target Store)
Total of $500 out of my pocket.
If I were to get it from Costco;
$900 for iPhone 12 Pro
$375 Trade-in total $525 Out from pocket.
It's close but Target + Apple Store deal is slightly better, forgot to mention that Apple Store iPhones are factory unlocked.
I tried to buy GCs on Target app but it requires complete card number of my Red Card. I've no idea where I kept after setting up everything in the app. Did the system ask you that question?
Non-t-mobile customer currently and bringing 2 iPhone 11 pro maxs
BYOD off: $200 per line with new line activation
+ $100 Shop Card: when adding a new line of service
= $600 (2 lines/2phones) for switching and not buying a new phone, correct?
Seems like a good deal if you aren't buying a new iPhone.

Are there any deals for an existing T-Mobile customer who doesn't want to add a line?
That's Ok, I will gladly take the free line offer, a $200 BYOD Costco card, a $100 T-mobile port-in rebate, and keep my iPhone 11 for the foreseeable future. Maybe one day a real deal will eventually surface for the iPhone 12 or 13 at Costco rather than this garbage deal.
Thanks in Advance
