My question is will I qualify for the $100 gift card for my line even though I'm coming from sprint?
It didn't look like it said that I couldn't do that in the $100 gift card fine print, but I remember previously reading that I can't get gift card promos if I'm moving from a sister T-Mobile account...
If I'm not eligible for the $100 gift card because of coming from sprint could I hypothetically pay for 1 month of Verizon prepaid to get a Verizon account and then techically port in from a Verizon account to get the free $100 gift card? Do you think that it might be eligible that way?
Thank you for your help.
T-mobile will handle the port in from your google voice. But since you are with Sprint who is now T-Mobile, you can't open an account with T-Mobile. It must be your spouse or someone in your family to open with.

Otherwise, to me at least, this is just a somewhat sophisticated typical cell carrier con game.
Cell carrier could afford to offer real sale prices if they wanted to. They don't because this sort of "sale" makes huge profits for them
Just my $.02 Thx, t-mobile, for a con game offer on cyber Monday.
A real off would be $300-$400 off a premium new gen high end cell phone, for new and current customers. No further conditions.
Those are the sorts of offers consumers see on every other electronic product, on big holiday shopping days. So, why not on premium cell phones?
Hey, t-mobile! Try it!
You are the "un-carrier", right?
Or are you?

Sprint is already owned by T-Mobile, just not fully rebranded yet, so you would not be a new customer or switching to T-Mobile. If you ported your number to a different carrier it would have to be away from TMO for a longer period to qualify as a new line, and get related promos. Otherwise it would be a "winback" or subscriber who decided against canceling for whatever reason. I think it is 90 days for TMO... maybe 60? Hope that helps you decide what to do!
