Do the 14 inch Dell laptops never have good sales? All the deals seem to be for the 15.6 inch laptops.

As said in the HP Ryzen 7 thread, I've had a history of HP motherboards pooping out on me. I went with Dell for that reason... Anyways, Dell lists this USB-C charger as being compatible with this model PC:

My adblock won't let me check the link, but just in case it helps, all my Dells with USB-C charging work with generic 65watt chargers that cost like $20 on Amazon

If you have an Amex Platinum card, you can get $100 statement credit with a purchase of this laptop.

Possibly but it's ymmv.

It must be a platinum card and you must add it to your card before purchase

You can call and complain. Seriously.. there's a hefty annual fee on the platinum right?

I called and they said "no you've got the 10% offer. The $100 offer is for a different card than you have"

I took that to mean basically go take a walk dude, you're not paying an annual fee

I just had a HELL of a time trying to get HP to modify or cancel and order. I cancelled because I knew, if I have a serious problem like a motherboard, it isn't going to be any better than just trying to get a small change in an order. I bailed! But these don't seem like real deals to me. I'll pass on these too.

Do y'all think this is pretty good or waiting for something else? I'm considering it for my mom.

Never mind, I'll check through the thread Joeski posted at the same time. Smilie

For anyone out there, i bought this laptop a week ago with listed price as(Ryzen 7 assuming it is better than Ryzen 5, thanks to Suryasis) $617 minus Cap1 coupon, brought it down to $546+(before tax). Raku +10 won't identify it as a txn, working with their support, not sure if it has to do with Cap1 coupon. I received the laptop within 3days. It feels awesome, premium as exterior is aluminum. Screen is okay, even in dark room or so colors are not okay. But it is good enough. Overall Happy with the purchase but still debating about the price and whether I should return it and get Ryzen 5. Any thoughts?

I went with ryzen 7 with similar price. It's only been 4 days, I ordered it. I hope it shows up soon. I still think that 70ish difference between R5 n R7 is worth the future proofing. I prefer it because I want to use it for programming.

Likewise. And this is why I went ahead with R7, as I don't want to change laptop in next 3-5 years. And while using it, build quality makes me feel like a premium laptop, that should hold it together. Should I just get one 16GB RAM and make it 24GB or get 16*2? Asking again, can i upgrade the RAM without voiding warranty?
