Came across this buy 2 get 2 free BF deal from pep boys. I believe the Cooper Adventurer is the same or similar tire as the Cooper Discover or Cooper AT3. 60mi warranty. I see the total coming up to $450.94 after installation (Installation is $116.96–which seems a little pricey compared to sams/costco/walmart). Is this a good deal for these tires?

Good deal. Saved $80, probably more! Read below. Thx
To put price in proper perspective I checked Tire Rack for the exact tires for my car, Cooper Evolution Tour and it will be installed by same store,PeP Boys. Here's the price breakdown:
PePBoys Price:
4x tires incl tax: $286
Installation: $126
OTD: $412
As a side note, if i purchased from TireRack and shipped to PepBoys, install price is $78 as opposed to $126 if tires were directly purchased from them. Its odd, I know, so I researched further.
The price discrepancy could be attributed to the TPMS rebuild kit is included in the $126 price point. And potentially the price TireRack list does not include the TPMS service. Not sure. Website was vague. TPMS rebuild is normally $15/ tire in my neck of the woods.
Wheel Works my friend. In-store for the WeatherGrip is a bit cheaper than their internet price (buy 3 get 1 free). Don't forget to get lifetime wheel alignment and balancing if you intend to keep the car for the rest of its life.
Not a bad deal but it's a pretty heavy tire. For my size it's about 8-10lbs heavier per tire to a comparable Michelin. Because of that I usually just stick to getting Michelin's at Costco during their sales. Plus Costco warranty is amazing. Not knocking this deal but unsprung weight is something to think about.

8 to 10 lbs / tire weight difference!! That's crazy. You better recheck source(s) of your information before spewing false narratives. True, additional unsprung weight negatively affect cars handling. But per TireRack the weight difference is only a pound between Cooper and Michelin for my specific all season tire size. NOT 8 to 10 lbs. And a pound of additional unsprung weight will not matter to a daily driven car. An F1 car, sure. Not while following posted speed limits.

This deal also works for the Evolution if you're looking for a Highway tire.
A few days ago I ordered four of those installed for ~$480 and made an appointment for later today. Turns out they are back ordered so Pep Boys called this morning and they are swapping in Michelin Defender LTX for no charge.

Look it up. Search the tire weight of the tire posted in this thread not another set of cooper car tires in smaller sizes. You can just compare whatever size to a set of michelins. my size is 255/55/18 which comes in at 37lbs for the adventurer. A set of michelin premier ltx from costco comes in at 28lbs.
37-28lbs = 9lbs which sits right between my claimed 8-10lbs
you're not talking about the tire in this thread then. you're talking about a smaller car cooper tire which is not what I am talking about. Sure the tire you bought completely different from the one in this thread probably has a negligible weight difference. The one posted in this thread is a heavy tire at every size its available.

I got myself cooper evolution for $63 per tire on my mustang. Not bad. I got discount tire to price match and went with their lower price installs. $378 otd vs $413 otd with pepboys.
