The design of the laptop is fantastic and everything about it feels nice. And the thermals are fantastic. The fans don't get too loud when doing small tasks and are only really noticeable when gaming. My temps never get too high, usually ending up in the 80s while gaming, peaking at close to 100 when I ran some benchmarks (for those who care about benchmarks, the 4800H hit a 1211 single-core and 7961 muilti-core score on Geekbench).
The display is also fantastic, haven't had any noticeable issues. Overall, a solid laptop
Edit: Will add my one real knock on it was that the GPU performance is cut significantly when running on battery. Can't really find a way around it, but as long as you're not planning to do any serious gaming when the laptop isn't plugged in, it shouldn't be an issue.

Is it fantastic though?
Even if it arrives in Q1 2021, wouldn't it be a while before it makes it to mainstream priced gaming laptops under 1500 ?
Most people got the Legion 5 4800H + 2060 deal but its out of stock now. If you value smaller lighter form factor this is the laptop to buy.
This would be a great laptop if it wasnt so hideous.

edit: looks like this is 4800H vs 4900HS in G14 and 2060 full vs 2060 max-Q. In both cases G14 sacrifices a bit of performance for power-saving.
Edit: the one which was at $899 was "OMEN Laptop 15-en0036nr". The current deal is on "OMEN Laptop 15z -en000"
They probably had like 5 coupons for all of US. A bad way to create hype. Made me more inclined to go with ASUS G14 or HP Omen instead.

I think RAM and storage are less in the $899 one. Here is the OG link of that deal: https://slickdeals.net/share/android_app/t/14621314
Similar performance. Smaller profile. In case you prefer more portability and better build quality, but want similar specs.

AMD will have 3070 and better one.
Then by the time the rtx4000 series is avail, you'd need to wait for the rtx5000 series..
N then just keep waiting perpetually..
Also, keep in mind the power brick also weighs a lot for the hp once as compare to G14.

Average Gaming NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 Mobile → 100%
Average Gaming 30-70 fps → 100%
Average Gaming NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti Mobile → 95%
Average Gaming 30-70 fps → 92%
Of course there are things a 2060 can do that a 1660ti cannot, but if those aren't important to you then you might do better with the bestbuy deal with a 1tb drive for $140 less.
