I bought this on a previous deal. I have three cats and none of them would eat this stuff. Sniffed it and left it. And they love food!

Thanks OP. The 12 pack of pouches [amazon.com] are on sale too; paid $6.43 shipped with 10% S&S discount.

Usually my cat only eats half a can so I figured the pouches would be a better deal and less waste...

That's a great price! I also had a $30 off $100 coupon at Chewy, which made the deal even sweeter. My 2 cats split a 5.5oz can twice a day and they LOVE any of the BFF food. They get really excited as soon as they see "the good mush" coming out instead of the usual Whole Earth Farms.

Specific comment for those with cats that have Chronic Kidney Disease: These have low phosphorous so I'm going to try them (as I have many of the Weruva offerings) for my cat with early stage kidney disease. I have found that he thrives on regular (as in non-medicated) food with lowish phosphorous. Every cat is different of course (please do your own due diligence) and I'm sure at some point the disease will progress and I might have to go another route, but for now, this has been the ace in the hole for my sweet little dude (along with Omega-3 Pet fish oil supplement and Standard Process Feline Renal Support and a smattering of the arguably not very healthy but palate-tempting and gut-settling Fortiflora probiotic). I'd read a peer reviewed study that showed that it's more the high phosphorous that is a culprit than the protein for cats suffering from CKD so i tried this despite my vet recommending the medicated low protein, low phosphorous food available by scrip (like Royal Canin or Science Diet), I didn't want him to waste away without protein (until he had no other option, i'm willing to try that of course if this doesn't work), and he's put on some weight and BUN and Creatinine improved since I tried this.

In Amazon questions section: "Q: are they low in phosphorus?
A: Generally speaking, essentially all of all formulas have low phosphorus because we have a bone free approach. Ingredients like "chicken" and "fish" are permitted to contain bone content, and bones are largely made of calcium and phosphorus. By removing the bones, we can keep these levels low. All of our detailed nutritional information, including phosphorus, is available on our website. see less
By Weruva on November 27, 2019"

On Chewy: "The Love Munchkin! Chicken & Pumpkin recipe has a Phosphorus content of 0.14%, Crazy 4 U! Chicken & Salmon recipe has a Phosphorus content of 0.13%, QT Patootie! Chicken & Turkey recipe has a Phosphorus content of 0.14%, Selfie Cam! Chicken & Lamb recipe has a Phosphorus content of 0.19%, Lots-O-Luc k! Duck & Tuna recipe has a Phosphorus content of 0.28%, and Best Day Eva! Beef & Salmon recipe has a Phosphorus content of 0.21%, as fed."

My older kitty really doesn't like solid foods and this seems more like a mush. Time to give this a shot. Was giving her Crave Pate for awhile but it's certainly expensive.

This might be a helpful resource for you, you can filter foods based on levels of protein, fat, carbs and phosphorus. These particular foods aren't listed (at least that I could find) but there are lots of other options in case your cat doesn't like these.

I've just switched my 10 yr old to Weruva Steak Frites, one of the best non prescription low phos diets available and he loves it and is doing well. Check it out. GL.

Thanks OP. Weruva TruLuxe TruSurf (a variety pack of seafood flavors) and TruTurf (variety pack of land-based protein, like chicken, etc.) are 46% and 48% off, respectively. I recently switched my cats to TruLuxe and they really like some flavors and won't touch others. https://www.amazon.com/Weruva-Tru...NrPXRydWU=

Weird, my cat is picky and last time I bought this brand she went nuts for it, constantly meowing when it was feeding time.
